Subject: Brinkley Organ
I am Thomas Nyman, and I own the Brinkley Mansion, Del Rio, Texas.
I was disappointed to read this account of the state of our organ.
Reuter Opus 444, with sixteen ranks, 1,063 pipes, drums, chimes and
bells is intact and restored in the ballroom for which it was built
in 1932.
I had the instrument fully restored shortly after I purchased the home
in 1994. Approximately 150 of the original paper rolls are still in
the home. The player has also been repaired, and at times performs
quite nicely although it requires regular tinkering.
I wonder if you know who made this inquiry about our instrument?
I am Sir, with respect,
Thomas W. Nyman
