PowerRoll Experiences
By Spencer Chase

I have been using the Power Roll system for quite a while now so
I can probably give a good report about it. I do not have any
financial interest in the product.

As with any new product there are the inevitable minor difficulties
in the initial setup of the system but I feel that these minor problems
are slight compared to the advantages of the system once it is working
properly.

The quality of the music produced and the elimination of the risk to
the fragile old rolls are the major benefits. I can now play rolls as
often as I like without fear of destroying them and they play much more
accurately than the worn old rolls themselves.

I have an optical scanner and software system that I use to produce
MIDI files that can be played through the Power Roll. I am concentrat-
ing on scanning the best of the Duo-Art rolls in my collection and in
those of friends. Soon I will have several hundred rolls scanned.

Virtually all of the problems associated with playing old rolls are
eliminated with the Power Roll system. I have never heard the music
played so well before. I could go on and on with details and will give
more information to anyone who is considering purchasing a Power Roll.
In fact, I am so impressed with the Power Roll that I just bought
another (the e-roll inline valve system.)
