Value of Franklin Ampico Upright
By Tom Steuer

Hello, everyone. I am putting in my best guess for the value of the
Franklin Ampico upright at about $1,000.

Those pianos are pretty bulky and there is quite a bit of sales resist-
ance to the mass of the instrument. This is _not_ a reflection on how
nice they can be. There was a lot of quality built into these pianos
at that time, and if kept in reasonably good condition, they are great
to have. But I think people _far_ prefer grand reproducers, and that
reflects in the perceived value.

Am I off base? I'd like to hear other opinions.

Regards,

Tom Steuer
