Ampico A Compensator Springs
By John McClelland

Hi All, I am in the process of rebuilding a gutted Ampico A. I had
only one of the stack compensator bellow springs (the 1-3/8" diameter
by 4" spring, that gets stretched out to about 12 inches when
connected), and I had to find another one.

When I received the new one, it appears to have more tension than the
original spring. Were there two different spring tensions used in the
Ampico A? I assume that if they are approximately the same tension,
then the stack compensation will be more or less the same on both
sides? Can someone correct me if I'm wrong!?

Andy Struble, please contact me via my email address, I have some
information for you about Red Welte expression bellows springs.
