One MMDer,w George Bogatko, raved about it, so I downloaded W. Stahnke's
QRS file but cannot open files with suffixes: .ANN, .WEB--?-- why not
post just a standard .mid file?
Thanks, Johnny
[ This question has come up before but I can't seem to find the
[ "canned text" for this question. Basically the work Wayne Stahnke
[ has done is to produce "Archive Quality" transcriptions of the
[ roll. The file format is a proprietary one which represents
[ accurately what must be sent to the perforator to create a new
[ roll. A special program called "View" is available directly
[ from Wayne Stahnke for manipulating these files. He's been
[ quite generous in the past in providing copies of the program
[ to use. For those interesting in programming he has also
[ been willing to provide file specifications so that other
[ programmers can read and write files in the same format. The
[ sharing of Wayne's file format specifications _SHOULD_ be of interest
[ to anyone contemplating building a scanner or perforator.
[
[ In short, Johnny, you (and others who are interested in "view"
[ should write to Wayne and ask him to send you a copy of his
[ program. He'll send it to you via e-mail attachment.
[
[ Wayne's address is: stahnke@idt.net.geentroep
[
[ (As always, drop the .geentroep when using the address).
