Introduction & Aeolian Grand Organ
By Luke Schaedle

Good Morning! I'm new to the group and look forward to participating
in discussions! Finding a forum like MMD that willingly shares
information is wonderful!

My current project involves rolls for my Aeolian Grand Organ, 58 notes,
6 holes to the inch. I am searching for a person(s) who recuts these
rolls.

In general the paper is in good shape but there are several that have
not weathered very well and the paper has become brittle, or has been
consumed by silverfish. I don't want to lose the arrangements. I
realize that having rolls copied involves ordering numerous duplicates
and that there is a cost involved.

I've contacted a few people and received some 'leads', but it never
hurts to put the word out. Also, it's almost time for Spring Cleaning
and I've got to pull the organ out from the wall and make a few
adjustments -- if anyone is interested I'd be willing to take
photographs of what I can and forward them.

Thanks!

[ Welcome to MMD, Luke. I hope you can get a recutting project going
 [ for 58-note rolls -- it's long overdue! The re-cutting service is
[ available, since it's the same perforator as for the popular
[ nickelodeon rolls. But I don't know where you would get the pin-
[ end spools. Let's see if our readers have some ideas. -- Robbie
