Hi, MMDers -- I am restoring (to the best of my abilities) a Regina
Orchestral Corona #34 coin-op changer disc music box. The (mahogany)
case is now mostly intact, but it is missing the fancy spindle work
gallery on the top front of the soundboard. The gallery was there at
one time, from the evidence of screw holes and an outline from fading,
exposure, et cetera over time.
Do any of you have an Orchestral Corona with the original gallery
that you'd be willing to share drawings or photographs of? If so,
I will ask Ricky Diggs if he can replicate one for me, and I'll happily
reimburse you for your efforts. I have the Bowers' Encyclopedia and
Graham Webb's book on repairing and restoring, and several others, but
none have a picture of the #34 gallery.
I also need to replicate the full size paper Regina picture and logo
on the inside back of the unit; the original was shredded by mice(?).
Any ideas on that?
Thanks MMDers -- You folks are the most entertaining and informative
bunch of people I have ever had the pleasure of net chatting with!
