To All: First, a reminder that complete catalog detail (classical) for
all known roll labels, including total listings for Duo-Art and Ampico
may be found at:
http://www.rprf.org/index.html
Second: The Reproducing Piano Roll Foundation has, in co-operation
with the Canberra School of Music in that city in Australia and its
Head, Composition Dept., Larry Sitsky, embarked on our first major
project: to assemble the rolls set down by the celebrated German/
Italian composer pianist, Ferruccio Busoni. Busoni recorded for Duca,
Duo-Art, Triphonola and Welte (original German). His few Ampico rolls
were leased from Triphonola.
Only originals are sought. Please furnish a listing of what you own,
with numbers only needed. State what compensation you require for
shipment to the U.S. from European collectors. A bond of $500.00 is
in place to guarantee safe handling and return. Understand that we
are not seeking to purchase the rolls, rather, to borrow them for
transcribing purposes. As has been stated repeatedly, the process
involves no stress or injury to the roll. Not needed at this time are
the following:
Ampico 5136; Duo-Art 5671, 5675, 5686, 5698, 6669, 6928; Aeolian
Duo-Art 014, 017, 023, 027, 033 and 040; Welte (Original German) 439,
442, 444, 1319.
All others are sought. Send listing of rolls owned, with required
compensation as indicated above to: The Reproducing Piano Roll
Foundation, 4800 Country Lane, #628; Cleveland, OH 44128.
Best regards to all,
Albert M. Petrak, Founder RPRF
