Teleprinter Handbook
By John Kleinbauer

Hi All, I read the Teletype discussion and I wanted to suggest using
some packing tape to splice the tape reader tape. I also wanted to say
old IBM serial cards have a current loop on them so you could run a
Teletype off an XT or AT class machine. I just went and checked my
junk box only to find I threw out my extra serial boards. I do have
have two of the boards that will run a Teletype but they have circuits
added on them and the UART is out. There is a jumper in the middle of
the board that is marked (J1) and that activates the current loop.

While I was looking I found a copy of the Teleprinter Handbook,
I bought the book in Heathkit years ago. I will sell the book to
anyone who is really into Teletype machines!
