Old Steinways Keep On Giving
By Charles Davis

Recently I had the privilege of visiting the home of Tony Ponaras, who
is a chemist and lives in Washington, DC. A real piano aficionado, he
has three Steinway model C grands: 1897, 1927 and 1922, all in superb
condition. When I sat down and played each one I felt as if I was in
piano heaven.

Later I got to hear Alex Hassan and John Petley put these pianos
through an evening of sheer musical delight. These pianos are not only
beautiful to the eye, they are to the ear.

Just a note on what rebuilt and well kept vintage Steinways are pianos
that "give and keep on giving."
