Music Roll Prices in Australia
By Herbert Miller
Cooling Miller Player Pianos would like to advise MMD subscribers of
recent changes to the pricing of all imported rolls. A background to
this is that over a three year period we have purchased rolls from the
US with an exchange rate that has varied between 55 cents to 82 cents.
Currently it is around 62 cents. [ I.e., $USD 1.00 = $AUS 0.62 ]
Our new pricing arrangement links the current price of our rolls to the
current exchange rate regardless of what we have paid for the rolls.
To give some examples based on 62 cents tonight:
Keystone small roll would be $AUS 18.60
Keystone large roll would be $AUS 32.50
Meliora small: $AUS 28.30
Precision Recuts small: $AUS 22.10
Other prices quoted on request.
We would also like to advise our customers that the current quantity
discount offer based on that used by Keystone will also be based on
current exchange rates. Thus:
The Keystone discount beginning at $USD 199 becomes $AUS 321 at an
exchange rate of 62 cents.
We would like to thank all our loyal customers and suppliers for their
willingness to understand the dilemma and their assistance in working
through this mine-field of exchange rates.
