Subject: seeking help
Hi listers, I have recently come by about 80 Aeolian pipe organ
rolls and a considerable number of Aeolian 46-note tracker bar organ
rolls, which I have no idea what to do with. Unfortunately I do not
have any organs on which to play them, although there must have been
some organs in Australia that would use them. There were a number of
Aeolian player pipe organs imported in the 1920s, but they have all
been rebuilt and installed in churches and the player mechanisms have
long since disappeared.
Can anybody point me in the right direction to dispose of them? They
are just so much clutter in my music room and my wife would like to see
them find another home. Please reply to me privately, if you know
someone who has an interest in mechanical music machines.
