Joe Schumacher Is Still Slowly Recovering
By Rick Cooley

Hi folks, Many of you know Joe Schumacher, long time member of the
MBSI, who has suffered three strokes since October 1, 1998. He stayed
in the hospital for three months and has since been in a rehab facility
for two months.

He has lost most of the motion on his right side and his speech has
not yet fully recovered. Any further recovery will be a long range
proposition, according to the doctors.

Joe has fully appreciated all the letters and cards which are posted
all around his room. He is finally in very good spirits and looks
forward to going home at the end of March. He will receive months
of additional therapy in his home as he tries to further recover.

Joe has asked me to thanks each of you for your concern. I have
convinced him to be in our home during the 1999 Philadelphia MBSI
Annual Meeting Thursday home tours. Hope many of you will greet him
there. He will be unable to attend the Meeting.

Regards to all,

Rick and Betty Cooley
