Dear MMDians, After having gathered up all of my previously acquired
data, I found a few photographs I had taken through the swell shades
of the Tilden organ. They clearly show the trumpet section for the
counter melody as well as the rank of pipes in front of the trumpets.
A fellow MMDian has just informed me that the Ruth organs of Waldkirch
are known to have stopped flutes in front of the trumpets (as helpers),
whereas Bruder organs have cellos. Now, I'm not exactly a seasoned
organist of any kind, but I'm looking at my pictures and, in front of
the trumpets, I see quite clearly a rank of stopped flutes that are
the same number and at half length of the trumpets. Unless this is a
chop by B.A.B., I think what we have here is a Ruth! Opinions anyone?
Thanks to that special MMDian out there.
Warmest regards,
Marc Elbasani
