We need any help or advice that any one can offer. Have a restoration
job coming in of a "pre" Link coin piano, known as the Reliable, manu-
factured by Binghamton Automatic Musical Co.
Instead of the endless roll being located in the top of the piano as
found in the later Link machines, the Reliable has a bin under the
treble end of the keyboard which house the roll, similar to the early
Peerless 44's. The tracker bar is present, as are the two tracks/slots
where the bin slides in place, but the bin itself is long gone.
Does anyone have such an item that they would be willing to sell or
loan to copy or produce a copy? We need the rollers and gears also
(assuming it operates along the same line as the Peerless.) Am I
correct in assuming that this piano will play the Link RX roll?
Any assistance and advice will be most appreciated. Thank you.
Sincerely,
Dave Smith, Out-Back Mechanical Music
