Subject: treadle & soft billows parts
Re: 1910 AutoPiano, 65-88 Note Player Piano, Serial #81135
Dear Mr. Goodman: Due to your expertise in player piano rebuilding,
I was recommended to contact you regarding the above mentioned subject
"treadle & soft billows parts" which I need for my Autopiano. I was
told either you may have the parts, may know of another piano tech-
nician who may have them, or be able to assist my search efforts by
recommending some parts which may work.
If you have a facsimile available (or prefer mail correspondence),
I can send you some detailed diagrams and lists of parts which are
needed. Because this is one of the more rare 65-88 note players which
has only one main reservoir (on the left when facing the piano), I am
finding the parts difficult to find. Basically, I need two groups of
parts:
First: Many of the treadle parts were removed when the previous owner
had a electric motor installed. With the exception of the two brackets
connecting the treadle arms to the billows, I need the complete treadle
assembly.
Second: Maybe due to the previous owner having difficulty with low
vacuum, he/she also removed the moving parts inside the Soft Billows
assembly. Namely, inside the Soft Billows Pressure Cap of the Wind
Chest, the Hinge Valve No. 1, Valve Spring No. 2, and hinge for mounting
the Hinge Valve are needed.
Again, if you need me to provide some diagrams and lists of parts
needed, please advise. If you do not have the parts, please let me know
of another dealer who may be able to help. Thus whether you can or
cannot assist me to locate these parts, I would appreciate your
response. I am available via mail, fax, e-mail, or phone.
With much appreciation,
