I have a Young Chang grand piano. The black keys -- except those
which are frequently played and only where have been touched -- are
not black. They have sort of a dull, lighter, discolored appearance.
My temptation would be to use a very fine steel wool to burnish them,
but I am reluctant to do that without asking you folks about it.
This is not a new problem. Actually, it has probably been that was
from the start, but I just haven't gotten around to dealing with it
until now. What do I need to do to make these keys black? How about
shiny?
I know: that's what I get for buying a Korean piano-shaped object.
But I was young and foolish at the time, and hadn't yet found my way
to MMD. In my defense, I did not trade in my player piano. It's a
l922 Waltham and its black keys are not only black but shiny.
I'll appreciate any suggestions.
