CD: "The Steamboat Washington Calliope"
By Tom Grace

Hi Everyone -- Well, I mentioned a desire for a CD of some real
steam calliope music a few days back, and now my wish has been
answered. A new CD, "The Steamboat Washington Calliope" has been
released. This new 32-note calliope was built by MBS member Dave
Morecraft of Peru, Indiana.

If you check your latest issue of MBS magazine page 30 you will
see an ad from Small Parts inc., a company the makes parts for live
steam enthusiasts. Also shown on the add is a new CD of a 89-key
Gavioli Fairground organ, "De Waterpoorter", built in 1904, Vol. 1 & 2.
All CDs are $15.00 each, e-Mail <smlparts@smallparts.com> or call
(800) 220-4242

I have heard Dave's steam calliopes at MBS organ rallies, and they
are a real thrill to see and hear in person. This is the only CD
of its kind I have ever heard about. I will post a review of these
CDs in a few weeks, but you know they are bound to be good!
