FS Free: Duo-Art Music Rolls as MIDI Files
By Spencer Chase

We are finally ready to release some preliminary Duo-Art electronic
rolls [i.e., music rolls transcribed to computer files] for owners of
the PowerRoll or other electronic MIDI based interfaces. We have
several rolls scanned that are sufficiently good to be proud of having
helped to produce them. Everyone who hears them agrees so far. They
are electronic roll images for listening only. They are not perforator
masters and can not be used as such.

Anyone with a PowerRoll and Duo-Art is invited to contact me and I
will send some samples. They will play with the Windowz Media player
or any other MIDI player that will output to external devices.

Please let me know your preferences. I can also scan anything in my
collection or rolls that are shipped to me.

The only thing we ask is feedback. We feel that what we are offering
is very good, but would like to make it even better if necessary and
possible.

Spencer Chase

[ I believe Larry Broadmoore explained previously that MIDI files for
[ the PowerRoll are images of the valve commands for a reproducing
[ piano. The dynamics won't be reproduced with the usual MIDI synths.
