Greetings MMDers, I have been reading and contributing (a little)
to the MMD for over a year now and I suppose that I should introduce
myself.
In the early 70's I studied music in college and built two harpsichords
while looking into the pipe organ field. In 1974 I was in the right
place at the right time: I was hired to maintain and restore the auto-
matic musical instruments for Disneyland in Anaheim, California. For
the next 8 to 10 years I was dedicated to returning their instruments
to proper playing condition. If you had an opportunity to visit the
park in the late 70's you might have seen my work.
In the 80's and 90's my responsibilities moved away from the
instruments, although I tried to keep an eye on them when I could.
I also spent the last 20 years raising three kids. They are adults
now and will be leaving the house soon (wishful thinking!). This will
give me more times for my interests: mechanical instruments,
sailing, and videography. I currently own a Seeburg C, a Knabe,
Ampico A, and two harpsichords.
After 25 years I no-longer work for Disney full-time, and I have begun
a restoration business in Orange County.
Thank you Jody and Robbie for a great job here at the MMD!

[ Welcome "officially" to MMD, Dave. I hope you will tell us someday
[ about your restoration adventures at Disneyland. I made another
[ article about your activities with the PowerRoll so that it can be
[ better indexed in the MMD Archives. -- Robbie
