Value of 15" Symphonion
By Alan Fox

Jack Haberman inquired about the value of a 15" Symphonion disk box.
Based upon his description of the box's condition and the disks,
I would estimate $1700 to $2000 unrestored.

Given a decent restoration, this piece could be expected to market
at $4000. It is a single comb model, which makes the box a bit less
desirable than a double comb version.

By the way, the disks appear to be a mixture of the original Germany-
made Symphonion disks and the Imperial Symphonion disks made in the
USA. They are not interchangeable due to different drive
configurations.
