Bill Jelen (Bam Bam Music Rolls) and Tim Baxter (Meliora Music Rolls)
recommended I write to you in hopes that you could help me find a
particular player piano roll. I am a non-subscriber of MMD and was
hoping you'd be willing to post my request. If anyone has any
information on how I can get a copy of "A Rose Of No Man's Land",
please respond to <dahunter@co.douglas.or.us>. Thank you.
Here's the deal: I'm trying to locate a roll for a friend who has a
player piano. I know very little about the piano except that it was my
friends' grandmother's. My friend was born in 1928. She said you use
pedals to provide air to the system. She also said the rolls they use
are paper rolls, and she gestured the rolls were about 10-12 inches in
length.
The roll she is looking for is "Rose of No Man's Land". She loved this
song as a little girl but the roll was destroyed many years ago. Would
this be enough information to find out the type of roll I'm looking
for, if this roll exists for sale, and how much it would be? I'd
appreciate any help or advice.
Thank you,
Doug Hunter,
