Ampico "A" Parts and Motors Available
By Craig Smith

I was telling a friend about the MMD and he asked if someone on the
list might be interested in buying some parts that he has. He gave
me the following description:

A complete AMPICO "A" mechanism from a Haines Bros. Grand (1925)
straight poppet stack (not flange finger) with dust covers divided
as follows 27 treble, 36 middle, 36 bass upright unit valves with
metal tops separate primary stack all expression devices etc.
drawer and guides P12938 stamped under drawer rotary pump electric
Westinghouse motor 1/10th Hp 1140RPM w/holder and rods (RUNS)
metal tracker tubing spreader center pedal box with sustain and
soft pneumatics. This is offered "as is" in good restorable condition.

Please send me a message and I will give you his number or relay your
message to him. He has been restoring player and manual pianos for
almost 50 years. But he has no e-mail.

BTW, I have one AMPICO part to sell. It is what looks like an almost
new AMPICO motor which I believe is from an upright, reproducing piano.
It is labelled

     "American Piano Company 1150RPM 1/12Hp"

on the plate. I hope these parts can find a new home.

Regards,
Craig
