In MMDigest 981218 Jeffrey Borinsky reported that a new review had
appeared in a British periodical, New Scientist, about Wayne Stahnke's
new CD, "A Window in Time." That issue arrived in my local Chapter's
book store this afternoon and I bought it, brought it home and scanned
it. The article itself is as follows.
I've also converted it to an HTML document, complete with its referenced
diagram, and included it as a submission to the MMD Archives. Enjoy!
Regards, and season's greetings to all.

[ Editor's note:
[
[ The article appears in New Scientist (UK) 19/26 December 1998,
[ "Rave from the Grave - What are Rachmaninoff, Fats Waller and
[ Oscar Peterson all doing in the living room, playing your piano?",
[ by Mike Hamer.
[
[ The scanned text and image are just fine, Terry, and thanks
[ for all your work, but we can't publish it publicly at the MMD
[ Archives because it is certainly protected by copyright. The
[ references at the end of the article are interesting, and I think
[ author shouldn't mind if they are quoted here:
[
[ "For further Reading: You will find an excerpt from the The
[ Flight of the Bumble Bee at http://www.radiodesign.com/rolls.htm
[
[ "Other useful addresses: http://boesendorfer.com/se/
[ and http://www.yamaha.com/pianos.htm

[ while QRS are at http://www.qrsmusic.com
[
[ Maybe New Scientist places their articles at a web site?
