William Durfee Long Case Clocks
By Ern Grover

I've restored a number of grandfather clocks in my 25 years as
a clockmaker. My treasured moments were working on Durfee clocks.
They're quality. If you have an opportunity to purchase one,
don't -- tell me first, so I can beat you to the doorstep!

Also in the same class are the Waltham tubular chime and the Herschede
tubular chime Long Case Clocks.

They all require patience and diligence, and exacting shop practices.
Cleaning and bushing work are very necessary to keep these beautiful
timepieces running smoothly.
