Harvey and Marion Roehl recently sold their recording business to Dave
Miner, and this month's Carousel News & Trader magazine carries an ad
for it giving this address and phone number, rather than the one Bill
Finch gave (which is the old Vestal, N.Y., number):
Marion Roehl Recordings,
2208 220th St.
Donnellson 5, IA 52625
phone: 319-837-8106
fax: 319-837-6080
I don't know what the "5" following the city name in the address means,
but that's how CN&T printed it.
[ Miner Manufacturing Company is at the same address:
[ tel: 319-837-6486
[ fax: 319-837-6080
[ email: dminer@minermfgco.com

Not only did Wayne Holton arrange some Christmas music for the
series, but so did top-notch arranger Tom Meijer, of Goes, Holland.
In addition Tom has arranged dozens of tunes for the "Good Old U.S.A.
Carousel Music" series issued by the Roehls on CD's recorded from
their well-maintained (by Tim Westman) Wurlitzer 146A.
Harvey took particular pains to ensure that all the tunes were in the
public domain so that they could be played in public without incurring
liability to ASCAP for performance royalties. I particularly like
Tom's tricky arrangement of "Ta Ra Ra Boom De Ay," which could have
been, in less talented hands, a very hum-drum tune. It includes a nice
ritard not normally heard on American band organ rolls.
As for Harvey Roehl's phone number, if there is reason to contact him,
while his fax number remains 607-797-2624, he apparently has a new
phone number: 607-766-0726.
