Roy Mickelburgh
By Olin Tillotson

Philip Jamison of West Chester, PA inquires about the whereabouts
of Roy Mickelburgh. Regrettably, Roy is no longer with us. He died
26 October 1984 after being ill some months. He was aged seventy.
His obituary may be found on page 20 of volume 12 of the Music Box,
journal of the Musical Box Society of Great Britain, of which is was
a founder-member, no. 20.

His interest extended to the larger automatic organs and he was a
member of the Fairground Organ Preservation Society. He was also an
honorary member of the London College of Music and a member of the
Bristol Civic Society. He and his elder brother Jack jointly ran a
family business dealing in pianos and other musical items.
