Pianos in Theatre Lobbies
By Mike Walter

Hi everyone, The Shea's Buffalo Theatre (N.Y.) has a 12-legged
Wurlitzer Apollo Grand on the second floor of their lobby. It was
rebuilt a number of years ago, but, I believe, needs a bit of TLC
at present. The cabinetry is magnificent. If any one has a copy of
"Through you I live forever" by Mark Zahm, it is on the back cover.

Wurlitzer supposedly made only two of these pianos; the other being
kept by Farny Wurlitzer. I had heard that a number of years ago (three
or four) that it was up for sale, but don't know what happened to it.

Best wishes,

Mike Walter
