Musical Instruments on the Water
By Hal Davis

Of course, there were thousands of calliopes on riverboats through-
out the United States in the second half of the nineteenth century.

In more modern times, the Mills Novelty Co. had a boat on the Great
Lakes that was equipped with mechanical musical instruments.

These would be starters for a talk to boaters.
