Hi,  Can anybody tell me why the Marque Ampico cuts off three [more]
notes when it is set to play non-Ampico rolls?

These end notes go through the cutout behind the roll box and
activate only when Ampico is turned on.  This gives the normal 83 notes
for Ampico mode but then it switches to 80 playing notes when Ampico
is Off.

Do most people just bypass this if it has no useful purpose (other than
to annoy you by missing out lots of notes that you expect to play!)?
Is this like the silly pneumatic which turns the Ampico switch on
whenever it goes into reroll?  (Like most it's now disabled!)

Cutting off the sustain pedal for non-Ampico rolls is also very
annoying -- a shame they could not afford to put in the extra switch!
