On Nov. 17 Ed Gaida wrote that he was leaving for Dallas for the
IAAPA convention (International Association of Amusement Parks and
Attractions).
I haven't been able to read MMD in the last few days because we have
sold our house and put everything into storage until we can move to
Rochester, N.Y., after the first of the year. So I don't know whether
Ed reported on what mechanical music he found there, but I hope there
is more than there used to be when its forerunner, NAAPPB (National
Association of Amusement Parks, Pools, and Beaches) was meeting in
Chicago at the Palmer House.
The years I went to that convention you could find Ross Davis there
with an electronic band organ, but that's about all. Plenty of rides,
games, food, but little mechanical music, as I recall.

P.S. Is Tim Trager subscribed now to MMD? He has just hooked up to
the Internet.
