Join the crowd, Don. We whistle collectors are all looking for large
steam whistles. Most whistles are now in the hands of collectors,
but inevitably a few have yet to be discovered.
I suggest that you join the Horn & Whistle Enthusiasts Group, started
in 1982, dedicated to the preservation, increase, and dissemination of
knowledge regarding horns, whistles, sirens, bells, and other acoustic
devices used in signaling and warning applications in industrial,
municipal, maritime, and transportation environments.
The cost of annual membership, which includes a subscription (4 issues)
to Horn & Whistle magazine, is $14 in the U.S. and Canada, and $20
elsewhere, payable in U.S. funds. Mail your check to Larry Spreckles,
Circulation Manager, 1043 Richwood Avenue, Cincinnati, OH 45208.
Through involvement with this group, you will eventually be able to
satisfy your needs and current interest. Best wishes in your search!
