New Motor Cloth from Player Piano Company
By Andy Taylor

Hi Everybody. About a month ago I ordered some motor cloth from
Player Piano and stuffed it in a drawer, not paying much attention
to it. I got it out to use it today.

The first thing I noticed is that is not the wine/black cloth I am
so used to and fond of. It was a sort of wine/white backed cloth
that felt much thinner and cheaper than the usual motor cloth.

I held it up to a strong light and could easily see light passing
through it. To me, it is totally useless (something I am getting
quite used to from Player Piano Company).

The last thing I need, right in the middle of an important job,
is to say, "Mr. Jones, your motor will be a week late because I got
crappy cloth."

Good heavens! What is wrong with Player Piano Company these days?
They used to sell some of the best motor cloth around -- what happened?
I get some Number 50 pneumatic cloth from them that looks like it has
been laying in the left lane of Interstate 55 for a week, and now this!
(I am almost afraid to order pumping bellows cloth from them!)

I think I am having a middle age crisis at 35!
