Angelus Melodant Action
By Bing Gibbs

I ask this question back in August and I still don't have a good
answer. So I'll check again. I have a customer who has a Knabe
Angelus Melodant player. It has the narrow horizontal holes in the
ends of the tracker bar exactly like the Themodist tracker bar.
The questions are:

1. Are the Angelus Melodant rolls compatible with the Aeolian
Themodist rolls? There must have been some patents that had to be
gotten around by either Aeolian or Wilcox and White. I'm not sure
which one.

2. What does the Melodant lever in the key slip do?

Thanks for any info.
