New CDs of Original Reproducing Pianos
By Mike Kukral

I would like to see less conversion and more CD recordings of original
instruments and rolls in superb condition. None of the conversion or
'audio' recordings come anywhere close to listening to the original
rolls on the original systems. Don't continue to screw up a good idea.
CD recordings are needed of the amazing Welte recordings -- there IS
life and music far beyond Gershwin (yuck!)

Dr. Mike Kukral

[ Please elaborate, Mike. What do you feel is deficient or lacking
[ in the existing audio recordings and conversions? What remedy
[ would you suggest? Which Welte recordings do you think are amazing?
[ Are these audio recordings or music rolls? -- Robbie
