My family has owned a Polyphon for many years.  It was made by Gustav
Becker.  It was made in approximately l885.  This particular model is
coin operated or may be operated manually.

This model was also shown at the Melbourne Exhibition in l880 and won
the "Award of Perfection".  At a later exhibition (I believe in England)
it won an award for "Quality, Tone, and Finish".

The discs are approximately 20 inches in diameter.  The case is walnut
in a very decorative style.

Could someone help us to determine the true value of this music box,
and/or direct us to an authority in the Detroit area.  Any information
would be much appreciated.
