Steinway with Pierre Eich Player
By Brian Chesters

I have had a call offering me a Steinway upright fitted with a player
action by Pierre Eich. Does anyone know anything about these? This
one is in an oak case and has lamps to the front. It is electrically
operated. He couldn't give me any more details on it.

I have looked it up in Ord-Hume's books and he says that this firm
brought in these pianos and fitted two types of action. One called
the 'Solophone' and the other called 'Jazz band'.

Does it reproduce?  Are they any good?  He is asking 4000 GBP for it;
I may go to see it next week but would like to know what the group
thinks.
