Guys,
I am rebuilding the original Gentry Twin Calliope in Peru, Indiana.
It came off the Gentry Bros. Circus. I intend to have it playing at
the 1999 Circus City Festival in July. You can see our web site at
http://www.perucircus.com/
This is a classic steamer and we'll have at least two more in our
parade and playing in concert afterwards. I would say we have more
steamers than anywhere else in the world on a given day. Send me e-mail
about calliopes you know about and I'll share what I know.

[
[ There are pictures of two steam calliopes on the MMD Website on

[ I'm very much hoping that subscriber Don Elbers will write to
[ us about the steam calliopes on the New Orleans based steamboats.
[
[ I will invite Jason to become a subscriber. In the meantime,
[ please respond both directly to Jason and to the MMD.
[ Thanks -- Jody
