Hi
Someone asked what a KlavierStation is. This note appeared on
yesterday's Disklavier User Group. Unfortunately, the way the DUG is
set up it isn't always possible to see the e-mail address of the sender
as in this case. As this amounts to a Yamaha promotional announcement
they probably won't mind if you use it but it's up to you. The DUG
itself is dug@netsurftech.com

The KlavierStation is a computer system that stores PianoSoft software
and allows a retailer to create disks on the spot for sale to customers.
Yamaha has worked with a company by the name of MusicWriter on
developing this system (MusicWriter has a similar system called
NoteStation that creates sheet music on demand.)
The system has been tested over the last several months by a select
group of Yamaha dealers and is now being made available to other Yamaha
dealers. The target date for introduction is the end of October.
We hope that this system will provide dealers with an alternative
method of making a wide variety of software available to Disklavier
owners and eliminate inventory problems such as backorders. Plus,
disks can be previewed before purchase (the KlavierStation is connected
to a Disklavier).
We'll get more info out as we near the release date.
Best Regards,
Paul Calvin
