Hi to all fellow MMD members.
This is to introduce myself. My name is Jeremy Brice, I am 30 years
old and live in Watford, Hertfordshire, U.K. I have been around organs
all my life, since my grandfather (the late Reggie Brice) used to be
the steam centre engine driver for Johnny Flanagan's Savage three-abreast
gallopers, and my father (Roy Brice) looked after the organ at weekends
when he was old enough. Although the centre engine and Foster showman's
engine he also drove were scrapped in the 1940's, the gallopers and
it's 89 key Gavioli both survive and are now owned by Frank Lythgoe of
Lymm, Cheshire, U.K.
In 1992 I was able to buy my first organ (a McCarthy 20 keyless book-
playing street organ with four melody registers) which I gave to my
parents as a 30th wedding anniversary present. Since then, the fleet
has grown to five organs ranging from 14 to 30 keyless, and I have
become more involved in the U.K. organ scene. I arrange and cut music
for small book-playing organs as a hobby.
I am also the Membership Secretary of the Mechanical Organ Owners'
Society (M.O.O.S.) - a society formed in 1976 mainly as a lobbying
group to fight any unfavourable local or national legislation that
affects the playing or transport of mechanical organs around the U.K.

Best regards.
Jeremy Brice, Hertfordshire, U.K.
