G'day all,
I noticed whist repairing a Duo-Art roll (Rubinstein's Barcarolle p.b.
Hofmann, 6682-4) that it has small paper patch deleting the very first
note. It looks like an original correction and it coincides with an
accent "snakebite" and single hole accompaniment levels 2+3 which look
like spurious punching also. Does anyone else have this roll with
correction? If this is a later cutting (4th edition?), it makes me
wonder if the earlier versions included this note and/or correction.
I have presumed that the "-n" suffixes on Duo-Art rolls are later
versions -- if so, are they identical to the original or do they
represent revised versions -- has anyone looked into this?
Rob Deland has added very useful comments on the use and sources of
Filmoplast -- thanks Rob for your reinforcement of my recommendations.
I have since tried slicing short lengths of tape, with backing, into
narrow strips. This works very well but it is tricky to separate it
from the backing -- this happens automatically when used straight from
the dispenser. I suggest anyone using it should try various techniques
to see which works best for them.
Cheers,
Darrell Clarke
