"With Her Head Tucked Underneath Her Arm"
By Michael Woolf
I have a pretty good library of books and records on the history of
vaudeville and music hall; it's one of my major interests. The song --
it's more of a monologue, really -- was popularised by Stanley
Holloway, a great British artist who became famous on Broadway as the
original Doolittle in "My Fair Lady." I have a 78-rpm copy and would
be happy to make a cassette copy for Dean, if he wants to contact me.
