Hi All:
A while back, there was interest in a 12th century tune called
"Sumer Is Icumen In". I finally found my copy of the "Historical
Anthology of Music", or "HAM" as we used to call it, which
contains a transcription of the piece, undoubtedly from the
original manuscript.
For those interested, I've pulled it into an ENCORE file, and made
a MIDI version of the piece so you can hear it both alone, and in
its "performance" version, which is in the form of a canon.
The ENCORE version has been made into a Acrobat PDF file as well
for those that don't have encore. In addition, there are two
Real Audio files of the MIDI as played on my setup (28k mono and
CD-stereo).
Follow the "new" link to get to the page where this is all located, or

Cheers,
