Silicone Rubber Sealant for Pouch Leather
By Jim Quashnock

I read a number of messages discussing treating pouch leather with
rubber cement and talc. Maybe I'm treading on sacred ground here, but
with the advances of science has anyone tried a dilute coat of pure
silicone rubber? This stuff is suppose to last 100 years (longer that
leather) and is quite flexible.

I know that the rubber cement and talc scenario has worked for years
and, like a working VW, should not be tampered with. But just had to
ask as I am about to start rebuilding a whole lot of a leather pouches!
