New Wurlitzer Band Organ Rolls
By Bill Finch

I recently ran across a letter from "The Carousel Society of the
Niagara Frontier" saying that they had purchased 1600 master rolls
used by Wurlitzer and later by TRT to produce band organ and Caliola
rolls. They had also purchased original Wurlitzer perforators.
They intended to market Style 125 and Style 150 rolls "shortly".
Unfortunately this letter has no date on it.

Does anyone know the status of this project? Are these master rolls
different from what Play-Rite uses now to punch their Wurlitzer music?

Bill Finch

[ I believe that John Malone (Play-Rite) can only copy rolls. I'm not
[ aware that he is equipped to produce from the old Wurlitzer masters.
