Music Folios and "The Charleston"
By Bill Ryan

On the subject of Charlestons (the dance type) and the one particular
sheet of music called "The Charleston", the best source is to find the
Feist or such brand of music folio of hits of the year in which it came
out. I have many many full note "Charlestons", and will look through
all of those of that era, and see if the original title was released in
"full style". The Feist, Berlin, Gem folios and others, of course, did
ALL the music and no words.
