New Telarc Rachmaninoff CD Available on the Web
By Dave Krall
After hearing so much about Wayne Stahnke's new CD of the Rachmaninoff
Ampico rolls (Telarc 80489) I wanted to get a copy for myself.
Checking first on the Internet, I found Telarc has their own web site
(www.telarc.com) which features Wayne's recording as a new release.
You can even listen to RealAudio clips of each of the selections.
(Real neat! I like that.) You can order the compact disc direct from
Telarc right at the site (shipping is free).
However, living in the age of instant gratification, I didn't want
to wait to have one delivered, so I made a few phone calls and found
Border's had it in stock and on sale.
What can I say? It is magnificent and I recommend it to everyone.
Now, how do I get my Mason & Hamlin to sound this good?
