Hi, I have only been getting things from overseas for a couple of
years, but here we have a duty/tax free limit of about $200 (please
correct me if this is wrong -- I have heard many different values) and
anything we buy less than this just passes through. I have got a much
higher-value parcel of new rolls through, too, but this is probably
just luck more than anything else.
I was stung for a parcel from the PPC, it was just over this value but
it was sent to a business address, probably making it more noticeable
to customs. This is a mistake to be avoided.
The best thing is there is no duty or tax here on second-hand rolls,
so all the ones we buy from auctions and privately are exempt, as long
as the custom slip clearly shows this.
Of course there is still the ever dropping dollar and high postage
rates still to contend with :(:(
Happy importing!
