One more source for buying, selling, and trading of antique electronic
parts is Antique Radio Classified magazine. It is published monthly
out of Massachusetts and is about 3/4 classified ads, both 'for sale'
and 'wanted' categories.
It is a very well done magazine (usually 100 pages), and Mr. Ricco
could then sell those tubes himself if he so desires. A sample copy
can be requested from them: it's worth having one around just for the
ads! See their web site at http://www.antiqueradio.com/
I'm glad to see that Mr. Ricco understands the value of these tubes.
As a rebuilder of not only player pianos, but antique radios too,
I appreciate his effort. (Right now I have three Philcos on the bench
and wishing I had a type 84 tube handy!)
I sure wish someone would set up a version of MMD for radio restoration
people. If anyone out there has seen something like this, please let
me know. The wealth of information on the MMD is outstanding!
