Playing Licensee Rolls on Red Welte Vorsetzer
By Bob and Sonja Lemon

The coding of the Red Welte and the Welte Licensee rolls are the same,
but the hole spacing if different. Also the rolls feed from front to
back on the Vorsetzer and Licensee feeds from back to front.

We successfully rebuilt a red-paper Welte Vorsetzer and converted it to
play Licensee rolls. The conversion required replacing all upper roll
drive components with those from a Welte Licensee drawer. The
performance achieved was the same as one would expect from Red paper
rolls.

We have photos of the installation, but alas no scanner yet!
